H.S Result 2011-  a reason to be proud again....
The happiness & delight that was created in  the school with the publication of M.P 2011 result grew further more when this year's Higher Secondary Examination result was published today....
The LORD once again showered his richest blessing so that the tireless effort & dedication of both the teachers & students yielded a very satisfying result....

Highest Percentage in Arts: Ripzum Lepcha, 81 %, STAR IN ENG, HIST & GEOG
Highest Percentage in Science: Nikita Biswakarma, 72% 

 HATS OFF! TO TREEZA....

Ms. Treeza Rai from Kalimpong Girls' High School topped this year Madhyamik Pariksha in the entire Kalimpong Sub-Division securing  84 % with Star Marks in seven major subjects. 

A very shy & soft spoken girl , Treeza gives due credit of her success to the Lord God Almighty, she is equally thankful to the Principal, Mrs. S.S Pradhan for her generous support.. She is also thankful to all the teachers for their guidance. Treeza wants to perform better than this in the future as her ambition is to become a doctor. So may the Lord help her to work even harder to realise her DREAM...

M.P 2011 Result.. Another Feather in GHS's cap...

This year's  M.P result really made every one at GHS  happy & proud... It is really the output of the hardwork put-in by both the teachers and students as well.  Not only the school  achieved 100% successful result but one of our students TREZA RAI , scored 84% with STAR MARKS  in seven major subjects....  May our gracious Lord help us to continue this good work in the coming years too...

A historic day in the history of Kalimpong Girls' High School...

10th December 2010 was a historic day in the history of Kalimpong Girls' High School as in the century old history of our school the school song titled " SAFFRON, WHITE & GREEN ATTIRE" was introduced for the very first time..

OUR SCHOOL BAND

The School Band consisting of more than hundred girls is a combination of kettledrummers and flutists. Apart from performing in all big occasions in Kalimpong, the band has achieved glory in performing twice at the Foundation Day of GJM at Chowrastha, Darjeeling, Governor's Gold Gup at Rangpo, Sikkim and a recently held at grand Independence Day Celebration at Munpoo..

SCHOOL HISTORY

Over a century and decade old, Girls High School nestles in the heart of the town secluded by the tall pine trees providing a scenic and healthy environment. The institution was born n the year 1890 under the supervision and mission of Reverend J.A Grahams, a Guild Missinary. It was founded in 1890 by Katherine Graham who was then supported by Mrs. Higginson, Ms. L. Waugh, Ms. Buddhimaya, followed by Miss Edith Smith in 1909 to name the few.The school was basically established in order to render the best women education in this region. With the rich historical background behind, the institution today stands as an embodiment of the dreams of the founding members those of whose foot prints have well been followed over the years and is being reflected as each year by the ever increasing strength of the school. The school aims to impart its fellow students the best and complete education and inculcate in them the human values which as brings all-round development in a student. For the past one decade under the able, selfless and dedicated leadership of Mrs. S.S Pradhan, Principal, not a year has gone by when changes and reforms were not brought about to keep the faith and continue to do the same....
